The other reviewers take trips down memory lane but don't really address what it's like to live here.
The non-stop construction/renovation makes it very noisy during the day. For those who work, by the time they get home. the noise, dirt and service and constant water shutdowns are pretty much a nonissue.
Apartments are spacious with lots of closets. Most apartments have terraces with great views.The building is slowly but surely becoming gentrified, more upscale, educated young people are moving in.
That being said, it's really not a community anymore. And that's sad.
