Way too Expensive...

I'm not a transplant. I'm a born and bread manhattanite. I know what things cost in NYC. I rented a studio in Le Rivage for $2,300 and the only think that I liked was the beautiful view of the Hudson and the Battery Park area during the warms months. Otherwise the fixtures are way cheap, the appliances small and crappy, and the bathroom institutional looking. The heating/cooling systems broke down three times in one year. The plumbing is also in poor condition. There is only one maintenance man who knows what he's doing and poor guy is overworked. He has a young assistant who is well meaning but cannot fix anything to do with heating/cooling. The older doorman is incredibly rude and cannot be bothered to even say "hi" back when spoken too. I tried for 3 months to sign up for the gym facilities and the gym manager was NEVER around, in the morning or evening. I paid for gym membership when I moved into the building. However, the gym guy never bothered to program my entry into the gym. I had to wait for a doorman to open the gym for me every single time I wanted to use it. UGH. Hated this place.
