This site is dead on about the management there needs to be a change!!!

I ve lived in Manhattan Park, little over four years on the Island for seven. I like Roosevelt Island and Manhattan Park is one of the better apartment buildings. Not the cleanest or well run.

You have a property manager that has combined two apartments on one of the top floors in my building and doesn t live there EVER!!! Hasn t in almost three years. I know this because my daughter is her daughters friend they live and go to school about 50 minutes away. The PM has had a friend staying in her apartment for the past year. Maybe if Manhattan Park rented the un-used apartments they wouldn t have to raise the rent so high! When the property manager does stay a night they bring their dog who by the way is staying in a no dog complex. When the property manager is supposed to be working, she s either out to lunch or getting her nails done.

The management office is almost worthless. Who decides to hire these deadbeats' What are they getting paid' It sure makes one guy a miserable SOB to deal with. He lives here and is just nasty! I tried talking to him on five different occasions in as many weeks and each time he wasn t there as expected in the morning. Finally the guy in the rental said to try and come back in the afternoon, that he never comes in on time in the morning. Even the guy in the rental office is burned out and has a negative attitude! Again, who are these guys bosses and why don t they do something''' The other male who is the assistant manager is at least, friendly! I heard he has been covering for the PM while she s on vacation. Maybe management should reverse roles between him and her! Maybe work would get done as needed and someone with authority would stay on the property
Anything would be an improvement. You d think the company who owns this would check up on things! It s an awful large investment to be ignored!!!
The place is somewhat clean but it takes a few days and several complaints to get things fixed. Signs of age and wear all around.

There are two heads of Maintenance one male the other female. Both heads park their cars out front. The male and his wife both have cars and park for free anywhere they feel like even up against my building. Why does the wife need to park anywhere she feels like' We have a garage across the street! She doesn t work here so why the privilege' k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
