Great building next to Grand Central.

Having read the other review of this building I had to write my own.

The building itself is well built and the staff are excellent.

It is true that it is an 80/20 building, however this not really a big deal unless you hate to be around people poorer than you in which case NYC may not be the right place to live (try one of the more exclusive towns in Connecticut that have no affordable housing at all).

The building has a great roof deck on the 53rd floor.

A good place to watch the 4th of July fireworks (but watch out for all those poor people).

I do not find the building or street noisy at all but we do live on a high floor.

The other reviewer gave teh impression that the building is in some sort of homelss ghetto.

I did not know about the homeless shelter of 43rd St but I have seen homeless people on the corner of 44th and 3rd.

I don't consider this a big security issue.

The building is right across the Street from Grand Central Station, the Chrysler building and some sort of Federal Govt offices (U.N.

related I think).

There is therefore, a significant Police presence in the area.

The location of the building is the main reason to live there.

There is not a more convenient place to live if you need regular access to Grand Central (or one of the office buildings near by).

The UN is not far.

If you never go near Grand Central then I would consider area of Manhattan.
