horrible elevators and maintenance

I will be among the other droves of residents who will be moving out when my lease is up.

In the past years in true Related Rentals style, they have raised rents as high as humanly possible, charging in the $5000 range for 2/2's and into the $3500 range for 1/1 BRs in a building that doesn't even have properly working elevators (this has been a problem for months and months...

and they continue to give us lame excuses).

The management has some great people and some REALLY bad ones as well.

Overall, I think you can do better in the neighborhood (bordering spanish harlem) if you want to pay this much for a rental.

The other problem that has plagued us is the unacceptable amount of noise, cigarette smoke and smell of whatever people are cooking that seeps into your apartment.

if you get a neighbor who smokes forget it...

i know at least 4-5 people in the building who are moving out upon lease expiration simply because the ventilation is so poor that chain smoking fumes and the smell of cooked fish sticks pours into your apartment.
