I've been living at the New Gotham Apartments since August 2003 and I haven't wanted to move anywhere else. The location can't be any better. Near the Hudson River path and dog park in one direction and Times Square in the other. The restaurants and bars on 9th Ave are some of the best on the entire island of Manhattan. Grocery store nearby and easy access to a cheap and fresh farmer's market. I always feel safe walking to/from from the apt as well, which is important when you're a woman. Jared in the leasing office and Kristen in the management office are some of the easiest people to work with. They are always willing to be as flexible as they can possibly be and that is all one can ask. Also, the staff that greets you at the door are some of the most wonderful people to see when you finally make it home after a long hard day at work. The apartments are in top condition and any maintenence is taken care of quickly. The maintenence staff is always willing to help and are also some of the nicest people I've met in NYC. The patio is wonderful and so is the gym and laundry room. Always enough washers and dryers unless you do it on Sunday when everyone else is. I definitely plan to live here as long as I live in NYC and recommend anyone else to do the same.

This is obviously written by management. Not only is everyone in the review "some of the nicest people I've met in NYC", but also the constantly broken laundry room and constantly locked-closed patio are considered wonderful. Beware of this review.

LOL. KASTCHEI2112, I was thinking the EXACT same thing. This post is a total hogwash! Such horrible lies posted by management. That boy Jared is NEVER available and as for Kristen, she has the personality of a wet mop. The front desk staff is only as nice as the extra money tips you give them. Such a waste!
