I've lived in Normandie for 10 years. I have had a good experience. Yes, the elevators are a problem, but not for me so much since I work at home.

The staff is superb -- I can't understand the complaints of those who say they're rude, etc. Maybe these complainers have not treated staff with proper consideration. I have always found the concierge and door staff friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is skilled and responds quickly.

It can't be denied, though, that the elevator situation has exasperated a majority of tenants. There's a new building manager. Getting all nine elevators running reliably will be a critical test of her regime.

I believe that maybe because you work at home you have time and opportunity to sit and wait around for the maintaince staff to come and help you. I have tipped generously and given very nice cash xmas presents to recieve no improvement of attitude. It would be nice to have one reliable eleveator in each building would'nt it? Or maybe for the money we are paying they could actually fix the mechanics of the elevators and not shut them down for a week to change the carpeting.

Again- agree with the elevator, but disagree with your comment on the staff. I know they are all extremely friendly and pleasant, know me by name, always inform me when I have a package or dry cleaning. The MANAGEMENT is the problem, nto the staff. The MANAGEMENT needs to fix the air conditioning units and the elevators before they even try to raise the RENTS again. CROOKS!
