Normandie Court is the worse building I have ever lived in. Anyone who likes it has either been here one month or more than five years and have rent controlled apartments. I was paying almost 1,800 a month for a studio for an entire year then they informed me a few weeks before my lease was up that they were raising the rent! A place that had constant noise from construction, pests in the elevators, appliances that were always breaking, a closet that one day fell apart for no reason, rude office people, rude managmnet, rude maintaince staff, and a place where they lost packages!! I had packages sent there around Christamas time and they all got screwed up because the guy who was working there quit and they had to get someone new. Then the day my closet broke (I think from them making the 2 bedroom next door into a three bedroom) it took them two days to fix it. No one came the first day because they were short on staff. I don't care what any of these people say-ONE ELEVATOR IS ALWAYS BROKEN AND ONE IS ALWAYS USED FOR MOVE INS AND OUTS- Leaving the people who live there with 1 elevator- which leaves lines of people waiting for the elevator. If you use the plaza entrance the only way up is the elevator. They always have excuses for this-we need a part, strike, refurb., etc etc- All I ever heard were excuses...for this much money I should not have had this much headache-They even raised the prices of the washing machines and dryers to $1.85. Everything kept going up in price but nothing gets any better. The only good things are the evening doormen, the pool, and gym. I am glad I am moving out and into a brownstone.

The neighborhood North and East are very dangerous at night. The grocery store underneath the building has expired goods and pests in it-as you will see if you walk your dogs by it late at night--The 205 building was robbed while I lived there despite having doormen and security. There was also an attack outside the Plaza entrance for 205 and 210. These are the only incidents I know abnout because of flyers placed under my door my management. With all these cameras and personnel can they at least keep you safe'

I know you mentioned that they raised your rent...but that would happen anywhere. Lastly, attacks happen in any neighborhood....and 2nd Avenue is the 90's is not dangerous at all. I suggest you move out of nyc into a bubble.

Well, I do agree about the elevators. They ALWAYS have a new excuse why one is out, one is being used for move-in's and move-out's, which leaves 34 floors of people to wait in long lines....then they have the audacity to raise the rents. That is my only issue with the place. It is a VERY SAFE neighborhood to live in.

loves2live you just keep making excuses. You ARE management, aren't you?

I don't even live in this building -- I'm a potential tennant, scoping it -- and having read enough of these reviews, I'm pretty sure loves2live IS management. Boy, that doesn't bode well for this building....
