I volunteer my time on week-ends to deliver meals to the elder who mostly shut ins. Guess what happened when I was delivery meals at Normandie Court!! You got it the damn doorman Quaim would not let me use the lobby entrance. I had to use the deliver entrance. IF you plan on moving to this place think again. If this is the way they treat volunteers, what do you think they will do to you. IT stinks, there are better place in Manhattan!!

If you are doing volunteer work you should be able to use the lobby entrance. Delivery entrance is for an EMPLOYEE of a company, which they paid to do!. Volunteering is not paid and there we should be treated with respect. Why can??????t I use the lobby entrance, as you stated service entrance I??????m a VOLUNTEER!! It seems to me you and management are made for each other. NO wonder you signed it Anonymous efrwater

Um, why was it a problem for you to use the delivery entrance? That's the policy for everyone so why are you special? B/c you are doing charity work? Sorry, pal, but the management of this building really sucks, but your particular problem isn't a big deal. Use the service entrance whining.

that's absolutely ridiculous that you would devalue the volunteer's concern. Volunteers delivering meals are supposed to be able to enter through the lobby and for whatever reason that day the doorman must not have understood what was going on. Efrwater, You have every right to be frustrated, however sometimes I think it's more of a misunderstanding with the doormen (especially the one you mention above because his english is VERY limited) than actual policy. At the same time, Management of this building is absolutely ridiculous and is always breathing down their employees backs so often times the doormen enforce rules more strictly in order to save their own jobs.
