Just moved in to the building.
And have to pay right away to fix phone jacks in my apartment.
In the new rented apartment.
That is first time I have such experience.

Typical of management, especially in this building. THey have a deal with the phone company to scam tenants out of money. Bet you were forced to use RCN cable ro Verizon as well...limiting your choices. If you contact the Attorney General of NY they already have an investigation underway into the management at Normandie. THis well help build their case further.

When I moved in the phone jack in the bedroom didn't work. RCN came and couldn't fix it, so they installed another one in in a more convenient location for me. I wasn't asked to pay anything - it was part of the original service. Perhaps you need to deal with the phone company instead of slamming the management. I agree the management stinks, but I suggest we place blame where it belongs, and not try to trash them for everything. For example, the laundry room in building B is a mess, but they don't seem to care as it is outsourced.

Phone cable was cut out during renovation. AFAIK (from my previous experience and reading around) phone companies do not do inside wiring for free. I already have a service and it looks more like management just forcing me to change a provider. Will update the review if anything change.

Yeah, but what about Normandie Management getting kickbacks from RCN on the monopoly-raping scheme of their tenants? Is this being investigated yet?

The Milstein family which owns Normandie and half of NY for that matter used to also own Liberty Cable, which ws RCN's old name. THey used to have offices in the building. I think some of the Milsteins still own some of RCN. Definite conflict of interest.
