For those looking to move into Ocean, it's one of the best buildings...until you move out. After you move out, good luck getting your money back. Our lease clearly says we are due the deposit back within 60 days. We moved out on time, we returned the keys on time, the apartment had no damage. Easy transaction right' Just cut us a check, and send it to our new address.

Could not have gone ANY WORSE. Douglas Elliman Property Management, the people who make sure the money gets to you. Two words. Incompetent. Unprofessional. We moved out February 28th, it's now May 11th, no sign of the money. 12 days past 60 now.

Contact person there keeps saying "I'll check on the status", "the check is cut", well if the check is cut, what's to do' Just give us our money already. This guy probably has one job, get the checks to the people before the 60 days is up. He sucks at it.

The folks in the building itself though are amazing, Emina, the doormen, they're all great. But once you leave, don't expect the money anytime soon. Know your rights. Maybe put in an advance story to "Help Me Howard" on the 60th day you'e due the funds, cause I'm 100% certain you won't get it on that date, even if you hassle them.

Summary: The perks are great, but, it's not worth it due to the horrible management, these reviews are spot on, "management is a bunch of retards" is a good summary...ONE job, give us our money before 60 days. Couldn't even do that. Douglas Elliman Property Management you are the worst.
