I've lived at the Ritz for 5 years. I'm not going to write a tome, but here are the things you need to know.
Noise -- It is incredibly noisy here. The Fire Department on the corner is constantly in alarm and the horns are blowing 24 hours a day.
Cell Phone Coverage -- If you don't have Verizon, forget living here. AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile service are useless here.
Wiring in the building sucks - Lots of cable and internet problems.
Plumbing sucks - It is almost a weekly event to have the water cut off in the building.
Management -- They suck. They are arrogant, unresponsive -------s.
Maintenance Staff - Great. very responsive.
Doormen -- World Class. None better.
Rent Increases -- Feel like I've been raped every year. Ridiculous rate increases. Just know that whatever bargain you get going in, will be reclaimed at the first lease renewal.
An overall average experience. Not worth the price they charge.

My first rent increase was over 10%.
