Yo!

Great So Far!

I just moved into the building on November 1, and so far I have to say the place has far exceeded my expectations.

PLUSES:
- Awesome amenities...I truly feel like I am living in a first class hotel every night...doorman, concierge (often 2!), indoor pool, sauna, fitness center (fee) with classes included, tennis courts, decks, basketball court, golf, billiards, indoor connected parking garage, ATM, on-site dry cleaner, on-site convenience store, on-sire RESTAURANT, even a DVD rental machine on site. Laundry on every floor. Cool electronic locks on the doors. Unlike Riverbank West (the building across the street with a super nasty staff...take it from me I used to live there!), we can actually walk into our gym from inside the building. This place has all of the conveniences one could ask for.
- Awesome views on all sides of the building (except maybe the North side on the lower floors which faces an apt building across the street)
- Clean, modern, well kept building that really feels like a hotel in so many ways
- Nice sized apartment, with well designed layouts
- Professional concierge, doorman, and maintenance staff (mgt not so much). Large staff
- I feel very secure here, visible security guards at night and during the day
- Rent stabilized (huge), which allows sublets and shares
- They even offered one month free on a 2yr lease...2 yrs at same price. I went with one year but that's a pretty valuable deal in NYC.

Slight Drawbacks:
- A little far West/a little far from the subway...the M42 bus comes often though and they have a free shuttle cross town every 15 min in the morning which helps
- Pricey for it's location, and with a lot of surrounding construction (although I don't hear it as much) but if you can afford it it's awesome
- Bus garage on the south side of the street makes a little bit of noise
- Parking here in insane, they QuikPark garage wants 375/month when Circle Line across the street gets 200.
- Don't ask for a manager..you'll get 12 different names and none of them will be right. Best to work through the concierge.
- Leasing office: great people but truly a bit disorganized. If you can deal with that part, that's great and you really only deal with them when your lease is up.

Overall I give at a high 4...with a strong recommendation to come see it, WITHOUT A BROKER. I am extremely satisfied and love calling this my home.
