NOT WORTH IT

I lived there for a year and a half. Similar to some others' comments, repairs were often deplorable, and I had problems with my wood floor buckling. And comments about blackout were right on, it's amazing they could get away without having lighting in the stairwells. While the concierge & doormen are generally very nice, management is a bear to deal with and should be avoided at all costs!
One thing to check into if you do decide to rent here is a clause that says if you terminate the lease early you're subject to thousands of dollars in penalties. I had successfully terminated leases with no financial penalty in the past so didn't think to look at this, and it was to my detriment!
Management would not let me even book a move out date until I paid them an outrageous fee, when spread over the term of the lease, makes the apartment anything but a bargain!
Appearances can be deceiving and Riverbank West is a true example of this. Buyer (or lessor) beware!
