Yaaay -- I'm gone!

Everyone is right -- New management is out of its mind! After living there for five years, my rent was raised by 30% on a low floor one-bedroom (right next to the garbage chute), and they required renter's insurance for $100,000 worth of property (as if it were possible to keep $100,000 worth of property in such a tiny apartment). Meanwhile, the leak in the bathroom ceiling continued to spread, unabated. The storage room was closed, which meant that my already overstuffed apartment became unbearably overcrowded. New management at the valet was unpleasant and just plain rude (insisting that packages had not arrived even though my apartment number was on the list, and returning tenant packages if they were not picked up within three days of arrival). Management also began charging $75 for after hours and weekend lock-outs. So much for a full-service building.
The doorman/concierge staff were wonderful -- warm, friendly, and a real treausure.
