Management is awful!

I lived in this apartment for one year, and I'm SO glad I'm gone. I lived in a decent one bedroom with an amazing view. HOwever, I paid way too much for what I got, and the bathroom and kitchen was in need of some improvements. I was halfway up the building but still heard the Lincoln Tunnel traffic for hours every night. Plus, there are SO many tourists right in the area.
On top of that, the new mail room staff is unhelpful and the window for dry cleaning and packages is only open during regular business hours (not helpful for those of us that work!). Often they would put my apartment on the list as having a package and then would yell at me when I would ask for my package saying nothing was there.
Finally, the new management company is awful. I was lied to directly to my face about management policies and landlord/tenant laws in New York. The only reason why I wasn't taken advantage of was because I stuck up for myself. Furthermore, the management staff is extremely unhelpful and rude (they do bake great cookies!). Having them out of my life is one of the best parts about not living there. When I was moving out they gave trouble to the movers even when the management company was clearly in the wrong.
THe only good thing about this building is the few doormen who do their job and are very kind.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! You will regret it, even if you do it for the short term.
