The new management is awful. I have been living their for just over six years. If gotten worst and worst. The people were always so friendly at one point. They are letting more and more people live in one apartment. The building has become one big college dorm!! This winter the heating system was an issue several time, living in a luxury build and having no heat!! My friends that live in the building are having some financial problems, due to work cuts(like many other New Yorkers). They reached out to Riverbank West and basically was told they could do nothing for them. After already living in the building a person would need to spend more money to get a cheaper apartment, that makes no sense, when you are asking for help. I don't understand what happen to this place, I hear this from so many tenant that been here for awhile.

Agreed, Lived here for over 3 years and it doesn't make any sense that the management is so rude to current tenants and so inflexible. That just makes people want to move out. They keep saying its 90% occupied but I've seen the elevator traffic dramatically decrease. We've moved out since and are very happy in our new apartment where the management and doormen are held accountable and responsible. After all, this is your home, right--or are you just in a hotel?

Agreed too. River Bank West has turned into a nasty place to live. Now they come up with "fines" to try and get to residents to "behave." It's starting to feel like a college dorm and not a home. We're moving out too and looking forward to it.

glad i moved!!!!! i feel sorry for the people moving there or have been there a long time. they were renting like a hotel before i left. it was even reported by other tenants. get out after your lease is up - you won't regret it. almost 20% rent increases before the economy tanked. no improvements justified that kind of increase. it's actually sort of dumpy for being called a "luxury" building. Believe me, the only thing good about that place are Carlos and Maria behind the Concierge desk. They are the only thing I miss...
