I rather sleep in an HIV tuberculosis infected shelter than go back here...

I lived at Riverbank West only 7 months and every single day I lived there I felt extremely uncomfortable. I knew it was only too good to be true when I moved in. It all hit the fan when I had to move out in two weeks. They had the audacity to ask for a pet fee, meanwhile I never get a cent back from it, when I am being kicked out for the very creature you say was welcomed there. I think the concierge desk is great, but some are phony. -------------- please inform people that your maid service is outsourced to other facilities and/or places. Especially that the cleaning appts. are never punctual because they were up the block at The Strand. So to the people of Roseland Properties, thanks for nothing...Congratulations, because in a matter of 7 months alone, I've seen 7 apartments turn over on my floor alone than any building I've ever lived in. Crunch Gym and Starbucks are no longer there because of you guys. You guys are too greedy!! So Good luck to anyone moving in or already living there. It's only because the number one reason I despise Riverbank West, is that every single day the staff made me feel that I was never coming home. It was a hotel I was staying at. Well thank you for stealing my pet fee. I hope to see the security deposit, but unfortunately for me after reading these posts, I have a better chance at seeing GOD than getting a cent back from you guys. People please decide on another building, this place is the pits! I rather sleep in a homeless HIV tuberculosis ridden dump than do this again. Sorry Riverbank just doesn't make the cut. No wonder you have a 13% rating. I should have listened to what everyone was already saying about you.

Expect HUGE security deposit delays (could take up to year from what others have told me) from ------------------------- (another brilliant mind at work in New Jersey who can't follow directions or knows how to mail a deposit to the right person) or anyone else in the mgt office trying to swindle any little penny from your security deposit. You will most likely wait several months or have to pursue litigation in order to get it back. The worst possible place to rent from in NYC. This is the most unprofessional and incompetent organization you could possibly deal with. Everything the person above said it totally true.
For those of you waiting past 30 days for your deposit - first file a complaint with the New York Atty General's office - good luck with that one - rude just like riverbank west management. Takes 8 weeks for them to follow through. Then file a small claims suit at Centre Street downtown. Make sure you have everything together first before going there. You will need to put together a brief and explain in detail. It costs $45 to file and make sure you get it back from Riverbank by including it as part of the law suit. Don't let them scam you. They think they know everything, but they don't - bunch of freaking idiots to say the least. Attorney General says you are to receive your deposit within 30 days and if not, file suit against them.

I am not a fan of the building either. It's been a revolving door with the managers being hired and fired and of course, that's not really a good sign. Every time you walk into the office, it's an entire new staff! And residents don't stick around long either. I am not sure what's going on, I have a feeling the problems with this building run deeper than just plain old incompetence.
