I've been a resident of Delano Village (Savoy Park) for two years now and the complex have changed consistently since I have moved. The management sucks and I feel as If I have no one to go two with my concerns. I have tried to talk to Valerie (the office manger) and her attitude sucks. You would think that because she lives in the complex that she would understand the concerns of a resident. But instead she runs her mouth about the tenants business instead of addressing there concerns. I move here because I grew up in the area and wanted to live around my own people. The problems that I am having with this current management make me want to leave Harlem.

you can join the tenants association and come to our meeetings. Also, you can call 311 and ask for the dept of buildings and there voice your complaints!

You have some how gotten the wrong impression about her. She has helped more tenants than you know. But also be mindful that there are situations and issues that she can not address. She is working in that office alone, no assistant to help her and she is bogged down with a number of duties and areas that are not her issues. Yes she live here and she does have concerns and tries to take care of those concerns. There are a lot of things and lies being stated about her and I think if you came to her, she would try to help as much as she can. I have not heard her tell of any of the other tenants business. I had to come to understand that when we are angry and upset about things, there is a way to speak to people and I have witnessed where people have come to the office and have been very nasty to her because they are not satisfied. She does not own Savoy Park and has no stock. She follows instructions of those who are over her and you can't verbally abuse people and expect to be nice to you when it is not their fault. Cut her some slack, she is an employee doing her job. Let's try to be courteous and kind. You can get more from a bee with honey than you can with vinegar. Like I said she has gone out of her way to help a lot of people, me included.

Maybe she has helped you in the past, but usually Valerie helps herself, By feeling inferior in the office, and getting everyone fired in the office to keep her job, and when Axelrod was there she was here, Valerie was the last one hired in the office. If she did not get everyone fired, she would not be bogged down with everything, and not helping all of tenants by herself, and then trying to have them evicted. She stirs up alot of stuff in the office and having all the women fired. Check it out, go into the office regularly and you will see what I am talking about, you will never see the same worker again, "THANKS TO MS. VALERIE (HECKER)"
