I considered apts in every borough of manhattan (that I could afford) & settled on Savoy Park. For the price, compared to other apts in the area, it is THE best apt complex in Harlem. Prices are starting to go up (now $1700 for 1BR) that young white kids are flocking to the decent-sized apts. I have a one BR now & a queen bed, and I still have room to do a cartwheel! I thought it was small b/c it was my first apt ever in NYC, but when I recently went looking for apts in the financial district, it made this one look like a palace for less than half the price of Wall St. I m really shocked that no one else has reviewed this area. Cops patrol the area at all times, especially at night, and that s not even counting all the security patrolling the apt complex. For a petite white girl, I feel extremely safe.

The only time you deal w/ mgmt is lease renewals. Maintenance is very good. When they fix something, they do a superb job. The only cons are the neighborhood, which isn t much to look at & the occasional siren. However, there are three 24-hr convenience stores literally across the street & a Pathmark nearby. I hate people that say apts are a hidden gem and when you see it, its crap. But believe me when I say that these new renovated apts have hardwood floors, crown molding, new kitchen applicances, pretty lighting fixtures, oversized windows, & HUGE sinks. Girls, you ll really appreciate this last one! I could bathe my dog in the kitchen sink, its so deep. And no, I don t work for mgmt. But I know a good deal when I see one.

By the way, you haven't seen any other reviews, because the orignal name of the property was Delano Village, Genius!
