I've resided in Delano Village for over thirty (30) years. I moved here when the complex was family owned and managed. Today, developers have invaded the area and converted this once bucolic environment into a virtual war zone. Social problems exist outside the complex (shootings, burgalaries, and general street crime). However, once Savoy Park bought the complex they set about removing rent stabilized tenants, tenants too old and, or infirm to move anywhere else. They created, and perpetuated an aura of dispair and fear.
The problems are many, the tenants association continuously fight to improve the quality of life here. One thing for sure, everyone considering moving here should be prepared to ask questions of the residents, not management. They don't live here!!

yes, i agree. there are MANY social and physical problems here in Savoy. This is one of the worst places to live and I hate having slum lords!!! Vantage Mgmt does not care about it's tenants. They will say whatever they can to get more people to move in here.. and the "new" apartments are the exact sam e as the old ones with new paint a new countertops and kitchen cabinets... it sucks! i am moving out asap at the end of this year... and don't get me started on the bedbug infestation!!!!
