I have been living at the Symphony House for over a year and I will say that its location provides great convenience and the change in staff at the front desk and door has shown much improvement. However, the maintenance staff is an absolute nightmare to deal with - it takes DAYS (sometimes weeks) to get items in your apartment repaired. To add insult to injury - they aren't the friendliest bunch either. They have come to fix many things in my apartment many times, and I have come home to broken glass on my kitchen floor (I have two cats mind you), the stove gas knob left ON, and everything thrown amuck. When I called the manager, he was more concerned about getting off the phone with me than actually caring.
Rent is also an issue with many tenants. The building itself is not spectacular enough to be paying what we pay in rent, especially when they increase it yearly and on top of that, laundry prices are outrageous and the gym/club membership fee is also rediculous. It seems like they are not really willing to do the right thing by the people who already live here - only new tenants.
Basically, you are paying more for convenience of location and views. OK apartments, but nothing special.

The leasing office is terrible. Stay away. No service, unreasonable rent increases. The leasing office staff could not care less about their tenants.
