Lots of space, little charm

A great layout with a lot of space is the main advantage of the three BR dining room apartment that my family lived in at the Montana.
It served as a 3 BR office, with a dining area within a spacious living room area.
Views are great.
Noise from the street was annoying even above the 15th floor.
Wind would whistle through the windows.
Heat from hot air blowers was dry, uncomfortable, and uneven.
The swimming pool was a nice amenity for those few times we used it; as was the gym, which should have been cleaned and maintained better and more often.
The house staff was nice enough but lazy and stupid, led by a superintendent from hell.
The building's owner, Lloyd Goldman, of the family that owns a piece of the World Trade Center, is rapacious in its greed.
Walls are thin.
Parking is adequate.
Don't expect finishes or charm or nice appliances.
It's major strength: a lot of space and a nice layout separating the living room area from the bedrooms.
2.5 baths.
