We lived in trump place since 2001 (first a one bedroom and then a two bedroom), the Trump management was excellent the building was spotless, any issues where resolved quickly, the building has always been pet friendly but it was kept under control, and of course there where no corporate apartments.

Since Extell took over the quality has deteriorated dramatically. The lobby, common areas and hallways are not clean. The vents in the building do not work so you have a stale stench and wet towels unless you open the windows all day. Unless you are in good rapour with the repair men nothing in your apartment will ever get fixed. Security has gone down the drain I walk in by the side entrance as delivery men walk out and no one notices. The elevators are always broken, and it is like a 15 minute wait in the morning. The number of dogs in the building appears to have boomeranged!

Finally the management company they are rude and unresponsive good luck trying to find someone in the office. We are moving because we bought and had planned on buying in one of the Extell buildings thank good we lived under their management before buying so now we are moving out and going with another developer.

I am not saying that it is the worse building in the city but for the amount of rent they charge (which has this stabilizes rent scam where the rent is $7000 and they give you a $2000 discount and the stabilization in on $7000 people rent has gone up between $300 $800 in one year no wonder so many are moving out) and the fact that it is far from a prime location ( freezing in the winter and a distance to shops and restaurants) they should really focus on service to be more competitive.

There are also a lot of apartments that are used as hotel room the management will say no but it is true and I think very unsafe for families.

I live in Trump as well. After a 10% rent increase last year, this year, they're raising my rent about 20%. Everyone is furious. The building staff who have been around for years are cursing the new management. And the new management doesn't care at all, because there's someone out there willing to pay these exorbitant rents (not knowing they'll keep going up). We're moving out, like everyone else. And the person who wrote the post is absolutely correct about the rental increase scam. It's borderline criminal.
