AVOID From: maidenlefair Date posted: 9/8/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   Massive tenant exodus over past months as renewals came up, now including me. Reasons are the many problems here (unprofessional unresponsive management, mostly incompetent staff, inability of janitors to resolve problems, overwhelming number of dogs, long waits for elevators, unending construction noise and dust, dirty worn furniture in common areas, urine-stained hall carpet) coupled with aggressive rent hikes at renewal time. Especially grating to me, the renewal rents offered in recent months to current tenants significantly EXCEED the rents offered to prospective tenants. I conclude that the management here views its teneants as chumps and will take them for as much as possible.
