Live in a one bd rm listed at 670 sq feet which can't be more than 600 tops, on middle floor. It is very expensive, 3500. That's very expensive. From reading about these increases, my next lease term will definitely bounce me out as I am stretched on this one. The move in sucked, they totally abandon you on move in day, and good luck if you reserved the elevator. The building assigned some maintenance kid to run it for us but he would sit on another floor and wait for you to tell the front desk to call him to bring the elevator around because you needed it instead of just waiting on the floor you got off of----he was blatantly asking for a tip. What a dickhead way of welcome.
The pluses; the place is run pretty well, staff very friendly and professional. The location is just prime. Being able to pull out every day and be on the Westside highway in 2 blocks is unbelievable. The parks in front of the building with the paths along the Hudson are killer, especially great if you have a dog. It is a great building if you love your dog and take him when he needs to go, it s easy and right in front of the building. The grocery market being in the actual building is a huge plus. It has everything, some pretty premium stuff too and although it charges above city prices on everything it does have a very good gelato and beer selection, which is a good barometer on a market's overall range of product. For women, this was a consideration of ours. The location is very secure. This is located in an area that is very safe due to the whole few blocks are developed in the same way. This was another premium we considered.
When I moved in the garage was $400 mo, now its 430. I had a brand new sports car, 3 mos old when moved in. I had the added bumper pads and the talks about keeping it good. The wheels are wrecked now from grinding against the curbs and the side got scratched with a gardening hoe it looks like. Roof is stained with some mystery stain. Quick Park is a nightmare; their repair garage is conveniently on 93 and 1st. A certain amt of wear would be expected in a NYC garage, this one has extremely tight spaces when you go downstairs to see where they pack them in. The plus is that the staff, barring one guy, are really decent guys and are happy to deal with and accommodate you, without a tip expectation and uncomforatbleness. They earn their x-mas bonuses and are deserved.
Point is that its expensive while also being very nice, in that order.
