140 Trump Place

Moved to NYC last year and moved into the 140 Trump Place building.
While the proximity to the park is a plus and W/D in unit is a HUGE plus, there are a few things that are likely to keep us from renewing our lease in May.
Management has been very slow to respond to the few requests or questions we have asked.
In the weeks coming up to the move I called and e-mailed the building supervisor multiple times trying to confirm the move-in date (as required) but he never returned my call or e-mail.
Left messages with the concierge to have him call me and still no returned call from him.
Finally just discussed with the concierge who was happy to help.
Frustrating to deal with management who doesn't give its tenants the professional courtesy of a response.
We have had good experiences with the doormen (except one) and the service responses have been very timely.
If management were more willing to negotiate rents to a realistic market level (based on local comps), we would likely sign our upcoming renewal; however, we were told to expect rent to remain the same at best by the leasing office.
I somewhat expected that response based on other friends renting other units and their experiences, but will be happy to move to a owner leased condo in one of the other Trump Place or Avery building rather than deal with that unrealistic attitude from management.
