I have lived in Manhattan for over 10 years and this is by far, the worst building I've ever lived in. The apartments and location are great and the doormen are fantastic...the management is appalling! Management company never returns calls. They do not give out lease renewals until 2-3 days before lease expiry. They regularly hand out eviction notices to tenants who have paid rent (somehow they lose track of the fact that they cashed their checks!!!) and just generally treat tenants with no respect. During the mass construction going on, they refuse to tape tenants doors (even though they have agreed to), so regularly return home to an apartment covered in filth. People are moving out left and right b/c of the issues with management. Please do not rent here! So many great places in the area!!!

I absoutely agree. It is a difficult buidling to live in when your concerns are not addressed and they do not care about the tenants. Construction has been going on for over a year and rent keeps increasing. They have not made any concessions for a terrible inconveince. Elevators always out of service, dust, dangerous equipment left out and no roof access. No ammenties.

Totally agree with the previous reviews. The construction inside the building is unnecessarily long and painful without matching compensation from management. Dust in the hallways gets into apartments and stays there - cleaning service is unable to get it out completely, and after cleaning the new pile gets in. Noise, crowds of workers, water shutdowns, elevators for construction use all add to the inconvenience. Quality of repairs is average. Definitely looks better than before, but nothing to raise the prices to the levels above market. Besides constructions, I've been asking for a repair in my apt for over a year. Superintendant responds nicely but has not done anything. Don't forget about construction outside of the building. The Lincoln Center construction starts at 7 AM, including some weekends.
