FIRST LET ME SAY THAT THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT WEST END TOWERS ARE THE CONCIERGE/DOORMEN.OTHERWISE "NOISE,NOISE AND MORE NOISE.VERY NOISY NEIGHBORS,TOO MANY DOGS(I AM AN ANIMAL LOVER, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS)AND TOO MANY CHILDREN.SOMETIMES THE LOBBY IS LIKE A DAYCARE CENTER AND OTHER TIMES ITS LIKE A DOG RUN! THE ELEVATORS ALWAYS HAVE PROBLEMS AND ARE ALWAYS BREAKING DOWN.ON TOP OF ALL THIS YOU HAVE THE CONSTRUCTION GOING ON OUTSIDE THE BUILDING. NOISE AND MORE NOISE FOR THE NEXT ' YEARS.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE.I CANT WAIT FOR MY LEASE TO BE UP AT THE END OF THE YEAR.PARK IN FRONT OF BUILDING WREAKS OF URINE, ESPECIALLY IN SUMMER.BUILDING IN RELATIVELY DIRTY CONDITION. STAY AWAY!!!!ALSO TOO MANY LOW INCOME TENANTS SOME OF THEM "SCARY LOOKING".ALSO YOU HAVE A HOUSING PROJECT ACROSS THE STREET AND A NASTY SUPERMARKET DOWNSTAIRS THAT SMELLS LIKE ROTTING MEAT. "THE WORST"!!!

"Westend" must be smoking all that crack he buys across the street in the projects. This is not the luxury building the owners bill it as. It's dirty, noisy and dangerous because of low income tennants and its proximity to "the 'hood". For chrissakes, a cop was knifed there last month,a woman raped there last year and there've been too many muggings to count! You call that safe???

I am a highly educated young female and have lived in the area for three years. I don't smoke or buy crack, or any other drugs. I feel safe in the neighborhood walking alone or with friends. If you call Amsterdam Houses the "'hood," you clearly have lived a sheltered life. Crime happens everywhere. Do us all a favor, and go back to your bubble.

I agree with ex_tenant. And westend, if you're "highly educated" you must have gone to Brown, because no one with half a brain (especially not if that half-brain were "highly educated") could possibly come to the conclusion that WET's quality is commensurate with the rent. You're obviously a typical NYC liberal who fears being labeled racist by calling a slum a slum. Guess what? Amsterdam Houses is a horrible project, regardless of the color of its residents. I wouldn't go near there, just like I wouldn't enter a WT trailer park in the Deep South.

"Westend" is totally on crack! I got a bullet through my window that came from those oh so "safe" projects across the street. Trump should buy them level that slum and make a decent neighborhood out of the place.
