Been here 3 years, love it, and won't leave anyttime soon!

Wow...reading the commentary here by dissatisfied residents really reveals what a snobbish sense of entitlement some people have...

Anyway: I've lived in 75 WEA for 3 years. I have a beautiful high-floor 2 bedroom in one of the towers with views that knock everyone's socks off. I pay $3600 for an apartment that would EASILY cost $5000 in 101 WEA across the street, and $6000 in one of Trump's bronze palaces a few blocks up. But do I need marble sinks, gold-trimmed windowsills, and oak floors' No way.

My apartment is beautiful, reasonably priced, and spacious (1000 sq feet). The doormen are friendly and know me by name. There parking garage is attached to the building and the best value in the entire city. Gristides is fine, and right across the street. Western Beef is gross and unpleasant. The housing project across the street is noticed, but I've not once felt unsafe in 3 years of walking through at all hours from the train. The 1/9 is a 7-minute walk away. If you're not a fan of the in-house gym (which is nice but overpriced IMHO, even though it just underwent a major renovation), New York Sports Club is a 5-minute walk away.

For the first 2 years, my neighbors were friendly (!!) and quiet...(I knew them by name!) This year, two of them moved on, and I haven't yet met the replacements, but certainly haven't heard them. There are lots children and dogs in the building. So what' Who hates kids and dogs'!

I have SW-exposure, so I have DirecTV and love it. RCN serves the building, and cable modem service is at 10Mbit/sec, which is 2x the speed of Time Warner's service in the rest of the city.

If I had to complain about anything, it'd be this: Because my apartment gets so much light, it's awfully hot in the summer and the AC's could be much better. It gets very dry & dusty up here, but a humifier/air-filter solved that.

So until The Donald develops the huge outdoor parking lot beside the building and blocks my views, I have no plans to leave anytime soon.
