It's great if you need to get to NJ or Redhook quickly.

75 West End is sort of like a beginner doorman building in NYC. The rents are actually cheap compared to what you what get in a nicer place such as the Trump Place buildings a few blocks north. I've lived in both and honestly the only difference between the two are the employees. At Trump they must be well paid because they treat u with complete respect and basically wait on you. They even bring your laundry to your door as well as accompany all delivery men to your apt. At 75 west end your lucky if they take the time to give you your full Dry cleaning order. The management is quick to argue and blame tenants for problems that just need to be fixed. A lot of the reason for this is the Manager of the building. She is a woman I believe to be in her 70's and she is just disgusting the way she talks to people. She is constantly repremanding employees in the main entrance which happens to be one of the nicer areas of the building. On a lighter note the fitness facility is a "Crunch" gym which if you know or not is one of the best companies for gyms in the city, up there with Equinox, NYSC, and David Barton. Bigger then Olympic Size Swimminjg Pool, Trainers, Men's lounge, Womens Lounge, Outdoor Sunning area with views of the hudson, Mens sauna and steam, Womens Sauna and steam....Just to name a few amenities. The building has several diff bike rooms, and too be honest the place is kept as clean as possible considering the amount of people and amount of dogs that live there. If your a very independent person that doesn't need white glove service, doesn't mind walking through a relatively safe project housing developement to get to the subway, or better yet someone who can catch the private shuttle bus that goes back and forth to Columbus Circle every 15 minutes in the mornings and evenings, this might be the place for you. I mean reall where can you get a doorman building 1 bedroom with a nice terrace and an unbelieveable view of NYC for under 2 grand a month this is the place. Oh and did I mention the Park out front and Dog run that's mud but good place for a quick bathroom walk. I will leave you by quoting the Concierge named Lucius. "Hi,,,,,How are you."
