I have to say, that I respect that you have enjoyed the building, but you and I must deal with different building staff. I cannot believe someone could say that service is decent in the building. Some of the bad service experiences that happen repeatedly:
• Doorman being asleep at night once the door is locked and not waking to let us into the building despite knocking and ringing the service buzzer
• Been promised that service would be completed with issues in the apartment on a given day and over a month or more later it is still not done despite numerous conversations and "promises"
• Repeated full day water shut downs when they only tape a flyer up about it 10 min before it is turned off (in almost all of these instances the building admitted that they knew they were turning off the water the night before)
I could go on, but will not. I don't understand how a building with some of the highest rents in the neighborhood can have such subpar management and service. The building recently launched an online system that manages service request, emails you to alert of deliveries (since you need to be home by 7pm to get them), and allows the building to send broadcast alerts to the building. Only one of these features is used, delivery alerts, and then only 60% of the time. The building has the tools to be better run and have a high level of service....they just need to learn how use some 1995 technology.
