When I moved in the place was clean, however there were some "stains" on the linolium floors in the kitchen and next the back door. Property manager has an attitude. She makes it a point to tell you she's a b---h when you apply for an apartment, and she is rarely around when the office is suppose to be open. When I moved in (on a weekend) she wasn't there, but when I went to sign the lease the first day she finally showed up, she told me to come back another day because it was the afternoon and she wanted to leave. But since she is never around you don't have to deal with her. The maintenance guy is awesome, very helpful and friendly. I had an issue on a Saturday evening around 5:30 and he was there by 6:00 taking care of it. There are only ceiling lights in the kitchen, bathroom, and hallway, so make sure you have lamps. There is sufficient parking. The patio doors on the apartments are regular doors and don't have very good seals (you can see daylight through the cracks) so you can lose heat through there during the winter. It's fairly quite, a considerable amount of tennents are students at Clarkson or Potsdam. I lived in a basement apartment, (which is only like 3 feet below ground) and there were no flooding problems. Coin laundry on site was convenient. It's Potsdam so there is basically no crime. I wouldn't recommend it for a family, but for college students it is certainly more than adequate. Overall I have had a good experience and it's cheaper than living in the dorms.
