Yes, all the negative comments posted below are true. And that's too bad...

This complex could have been great. It is in a very convenient location, near Rensselaer Tech Park. But because the owners decided to do things at the lowest possible cost, you, dear renter, will suffer all the consequences. Like hearing your neighbor pee at 3 a.m. with startling clarity. Like shivering under 5 blankets in the winter because it is sooo cold and you can't affort to pay NiMo $200 a month in heating bills. Like replacing the shocks on your fairly new car because Valleyview Blvd (aka Mudpit of Doom) is rarely maintained.

Yes, they do accept pets...if you cough up $500 NONREFUNDABLE per pet! Oh, did I mention the $250 NOREFUNDABLE "redecorating" fee' This is to penalize you for taking a bare, lifeless, jail-cell like apartment and turning it into something nice and livable.

Honestly, you can get a better deal elsewhere. Consider renting a house if you need space and have pets/kids. This place must be hell for kids: there is absolutely NO WHERE for kids to play, especially older kids.

If there are no other options, and you have to rent from Mansions@TP, here's my advice:
(1) Don't store stuff in the garage. Rent a storage space for your overflow. Parking is so bad you will need to park in the garage, especially in the winter.
(2) Buy lots of blankets. Buy those kid-proof electric plug covers--a lot of cold air comes through the sockets!
(3) Document every complaint in writing. Get on the office girls to get things done. So they hate you--they hate everyone in the complex, so you're not special!
(4) Get a receipt for your rent checks, so they hopefully don't go "missing".
