I'm a current tenant who will be leaving as soon as my lease runs out this summer. Here's why:

1) Horrible staff. It's virtually impossible to get anything fixed here, no matter how bad it is, and the office staff are stunningly rude. A couple of them are ready to fight the minute they answer the phone. Phone calls are rarely returned regardless of the circumstances. If you do manage to talk to one of them about a problem, when you call back they act like it's the first time they've heard of it. I'm honestly afraid my furnace will break down someday in the middle of the winter and no one will come to fix it.

2) Dreadful construction. Cheaply built buildings, no insulation, horribly leaky roofs and cheap interior materials. The drafts around the windows and electrical sockets are incredible and the heating bills as a result are through the roof...a couple of hundred a month to heat less than 1000 sq. ft. The flooring is incredibly cheap and impossible to keep looking nice. The amount of noise you can hear from other apartments is absurd. It really is true...you can hear people in other apartments peeing. It's actually kind of disgusting. You can hear dogs barking constantly and even normally pitched conversations, word for word. I watch TV with headphones on and sleep with ear plugs in self defense. Otherwise, I'd be awake all night because of the noise my 20-something neighbors make having "marital relations" at 3 a.m. And I have space heaters because my bedroom is FREEZING in the winter. An indoor thermometer placed on the floor about a foot from the outside wall read 52 degrees when I got home one night last week. My heat was set on 68. I also had ant and spider problems in the summer, probably because the buildings are so poorly constructed.

3) Lack of performance of basic services. Snow removal is extremely poor to nonexistant. I've had to shovel my own driveway about 30% of the time I've lived here because it was never plowed, even those others near me were. The last two storms I wasn't plowed at all. Lawn mowing in the summer is spotty -- behind my building is frequently not done. Caught one of the mowing contractors peeking in my apartment windows last summer. Frequently my trash is still in the can on "trash day" when I get home at night and my recycle bin is 100 yards down the road in the middle of the street.

4) Complete lack of enforcement of the complex rules. Repeated threats are made but never carried out. Parking is dreadful and people thoughtlessly park in places making it hard to see -- very dangerous, but no one does anything about it. There is dog poop EVERYWHERE. Complaints about noisy neighbors and nuisance pets are virtually ignored. Trash cans are everywhere, people barbeque on the building patios and balconies (in violation of insurance and fire safety rules) and ride ATVs up and down the streets in the summer.

The person who said this was an overpriced trailer park was absolutely right. Please don't let the high costs and fancy cars fool you....this place is strictly low rent and you're bound to regret it if you move here. Do yourself a favour and check out some of the much better complexes in the area -- there are a number of them and you'll be much happier. This place is to be avoided at ALL COSTS. Rent elsewhere.
