Overpriced for the poor quality

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
It's often noisy and dirty, half of the staff is unprofessional and unwilling to help, the construction of the apartment is shoddy and no one wants to correct that.
First of all, the parking lot is dangerous because they refuse to find a way to enforce the one-way rule and speed limit. Also, there isn't a stop sign coming out of the lot, pedestrians walking on the Ridge Road sidewalk often put themselves in danger because people shoot out of the parking lot much too fast. Walking on the sidewalks throughout the complex is also hard because they are uneven and are too close to the buildings.
The neighbors are less than friendly. It's often noisy in the buildings themselves the walls are so thin. I've also had outgoing mail get stolen before the mailman got there to take it. We've had people knock on the windows and run away and we had a paintball gun shot at a window, as well. They don't think twice about throwing their garbage around the parking lot and the employees don't bother to clean it up. The police are at the apartments at least twice a month.
The staff can be a pain. If there's a package, they don't call unless it's been sitting there for a few days and starts to get in their way. You have to go in and out everyday to check for a package you've been waiting for unless the delivary person is smart enough to leave a note. We also heard an employee talking about our apartment when they thought we weren't listening, which I felt was unprofessional. It makes asking for maintenance a pain because we don't want to deal with them. We were also promised a credit for our rent thanks to an invite-your-friend promotion and never recieved it.
The apartments themselves are overpriced. The kitchen floor is so low-quality, we've got a permanant track-mark from the wear that I would consider normal. No matter how much scrubbing we do, it will not go away. The carpets aren't much better. The bathroom floor tile is coming up and it took the office a good year to decide to stop just regluing the tile and actually fix it. They also refuse to fix our lock correctly, which doesn't line-up correctly. This makes us feel unsafe in our own home.
All in all, I've seen cheaper apartments in better neighborhoods and better school districts and I can't WAIT to move out.
