My husband and I have lived here for about a year and we have few complaints. The rent is very good for the 1BR apts, and the location is peaceful and safe. Also, there was NO security deposit when we moved in, which was nice, but makes me concerned about basic wear and tear like holes from pictures, scratces on the doors, etc. It's nice to be within walking/biking distance of the lake, and the grounds aren't bad--the patio areas are a little ugly, but they're nicer than quite a few places I've seen in Rochester. I would only recommend the 1BR apartments--they're very spacious and there is a TON of storage and closet space. (There's a huge storage area in the basement of each building for each of the four apartments.) We considered a townhouse, but they're overpriced ($800 ) for how cramped they are--very narrow, the "finished" basement is hardly anything special. The office staff is always courteous and very friendly and helpful with maintenance concerns. We've never had a problem with noise or neighbors. Everyone seems to get along well, and it's pretty laid back. There are young families, so you always see parents outside playing with their kids in the evening, and passing out candy on Halloween is a blast--there are lots of kids around here. My complaints would have to be that the buildings and appliances aren't the newest--the stairs are a little creaky, the mailbox doesn't close right, and the washers/dryers eat tokens like crazy. Also, when we moved in to the apartment, there were some problems with the ceiling fan, the bathroom fan, and the blinds, so it makes me wonder how thoroughly they check over the apartments before people move in. However, any maintenance concern we've had has been addressed competently within a few days, so I can't complain very much. Overall, I'd give this place a 7 out of 10.
