Not a safe neighborhood

My Recommendation, Do not live here.

I rented a townhome at Greenleaf Meadows on a 10 month lease. I made it 6 months. It was so awful there, my husband and I rented a new apartment after 6 months and had to pay both rent payments for 4 months. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

We just couldn't stand it any longer.

In the 6 months we lived there, a garbage truck blew up, a car was engulfed in flames and a townhouse extremely close to ours was a drug house. The Drug Task Force busted in FULL THROTTLE without warning screaming for all to get down on the ground. Had those dealers opened fire...bullets could have gone RIGHT THROUGH the thin apartment walls.

Another problem I had was an insect classified as a "House Centipede". If you've never seen one, Google it....and then tell me if you'd like to share your home with these creatures!!! You can not exterminate these insects as they can survive up to a year without food. Should you decide to kill them on your own....they are very hard to catch and are rubbery so hard to kill. I slammed a phone book on one, lifted it and it went running!!!

The apartment features 3 floors. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. Middle level has kitchen and living room and basement has a family room/storage area...the basement level is damp and moldy. There is no door to the basement, just a set of stairs, so there is no way to block the odor that will rise into your living room area.

I did however enjoy the gym and laundry facility. They are locked and open only with a key card. They are joining rooms, so you can put your laundry in and hop on the eliptical or treadmill while you're cleaning your clothes.

Oh and there's a pool there too....but it's cold and has stuff growing in it.

Enjoy!!

I completely agree. I lived in Greenleaf around that same time period and I hated it as well. The centipedes were horrible. I called several times complaining about them. My roomate and I would suck them up in the vaccum because they are so gross we hated going near them. Just totally nasty creatures. When you lay in bed at night you don't want to look up and see one crawling accross your ceiling. I also was there during the drug house raid and that made me feel completely unsafe. Also the walls were so thin I could literally hear my neighbors while they were talking at a normal voice level. Horrible place to live, do yourslef a favor and go someplace else.
