Hello to all,
I have recently relocated to Rochester from Ft. Lauderdale, and to explain, it was for work! No one can ever rationalize why I would have ever left Beautiful and Sunny Ft. Lauderdale for any other reason!
Anyway, I spent two months of weekends and some weeknights looking for a new home.
I saw Long Pond Shores early on in my search...so I had a lot to compare it to!
I ultimately chose Long Pond Shores because of the location, Apartment and Staff!
My apartment does have the new windows and sliding glass door that others have spoken of here!
I also have newly renovated Kitchen and Baths!

The staff has been nothing but "bend over backwards kind" to me and have responded quickly to any Service needs that I have had.

My Service requests have been...
1) Dishwasher leaked upon first use..the next day it was checked and then the next day it was repaired...it has worked perfectly ever since.
2) I was without power to my bedrooms, two individuals responded and power was restored within about a day. I was sleeping on a Blow-up mattress downstairs so I did not check quickly on the exact restore point!
As a follow up to that earlier repair though, tonight I came home and again had no power to my bedrooms...I called for Service and had a return phone call in 5 minutes and then had a ding at my front door within 10 minutes after that!
Very Impressive!
Though the response was great and I am now posting this from my computer in my bedroom, I am disappointed to discovered that they had repaired my first complaint of no power by wiring both of my bedrooms to the GFCI outlet in my Bathroom! WOW!
This is why no Circuit Breaker's popped in the panel and could explain my loss of power!
The gentleman told me that he will contact the office and IT will be changed!
Thankfully because I am still moving in, there has not been anything plugged into the other bedroom!
I did notice that there was a spot missing in the Circuit panel where it looks like a Circuit Breaker was, maybe that was the problem, I do not know.
I will post back on the results of this Electrical problem!
I would also like to think that this power issue is an isolated issue to my apartment alone!
Those are the only problems so far at Long Pond!

I have not seen a Police Car on the property since I moved here and I have even left my Cell phone and GPS in my un-locked vehicle overnight and a day with no problems!
Friends that helped me move here loved my new place and I do too!
I am looking forward to Summer and purchasing a new Boat to go fishing with and a Snowmobile to check out the paths!
I can deal with the cold!
In Ft. Lauderdale you can take off only so much clothing and really have but one Season! LOL
I am enjoying the change, for a change!
I must also have very quiet neighbors because I have not heard anything through my walls...I did (a little bit) in my Condo in Ft. Lauderdale!
My next door neighbor came by to say hello, introduced herself and brought me some cookies!
That was very nice and a real "Welcome" Treat!
That never happened to me in my Condo in Ft. Lauderdale!
That's it...sorry I am long winded!

Sincerely,
Ed Bolf
Long Pond Shore Resident!

FOLLOW-UP:
The Management had a Certified Electrician in my apartment the following Tuesday and repaired the wiring.
The Electrician also replaced the missing circuit breaker in the circuit breaker panel.
The GFCI in the bathroom no longer has anything to do with the upstairs bedrooms!
It has been many weeks since the repair with no further problems, I am very pleased!
They (the management) were very Apologetic, Concerned and Diligent in their repair process!
Since this electrical problem was really my only non resolved complaint,
I no longer have any complaints!
It really has been very enjoyable and quiet so far living at Long Pond and I highly recommend it!
I'll post back if there are any more problems or my recommendation changes for any reason!

Good Luck with your Search!
Ed
