I lived in the Lofts for 3 years both in a one bedroom/studio and a two bedroom apartment. The walls are really thin and the brick walls are drafty if you live on a corner. Carol, the super, is amazing and really does an excellent job. The car break-ins were an ever present problem and on more than one occasion shootings occured in the parking lot. The building security itself is top notch, however the free AIDs clinic on the 4th floor causes some problems as one can imagine. My friend was attacked in the elevator on the way to her apartment. There is a second elevator with access only for those living in the Lofts, however it is inconvenient as it is always broken. Overall the Lofts are great for young proffesionals but those with a family should look elsewhere.
