Not Horrible, but some issues based upon your preferences...

I moved into Rustic Village in August 2007. At first it seemed great, but soon we had issues - I think it depends on the person how bad these problems are perceived, but here it goes:
Pros - Apartment is great to move into. New Carpet and paint, everything feels clean. The location is also great, so long as you don't mind traffic. You can get anywhere you need to be quickly, and you can get into the city while avoiding the highways. Maintenance is quick to respond, and always helpful, and if you lock yourself out, they generally are quick to respond as well. So far I've had great responses from the staff, and everyone's been friendly and helpful. I think parking works well too, and I've never had a problem there.
Cons - The first thing I noticed, being a ground floor tenant, is the bugs. Granted, I haven't had it as bad as some people seem to have had on this site, but the centipedes will creep you out. Apparently, if you can tolerate them, they help keep other pests away, but I'd be surprised if anyone can. The second problem I had was noise. I thought some large guy was pounding up and down the stairs until I finally saw the person leave and it was a 110 lb. girl. the walls are thin, and you'll hear anything if people aren't extra quiet. I had a neighbor with an unfortunate obsession with his subwoofer as well, but that's all up to chance. The largest problem I had will depend on your personal preferences - and that was smell. If you do not like the smell of curry, I'd stay away. Eventually you're more than likely to get a neighbor of Indian decent, and it's a strong, STRONG odor. After I while it got very irritating to come home and have that smell lingering in the common area, which doesn't always stop at your door - trust me, it doesn't go away easily.
Overall, if you're an easy going person who can tolerate mild, but prevalent annoyances, this won't be a bad choice. Nothing was so terrible as to make my life hell, and the only thing that really irritated me (subwoofer) had nothing to do with the complex itself. However, if you want your apartment to feel like your own little world, you won't get that here.
