Community policy prohibited showing actual units. The model shown was spotlessly clean, very nice with new kitchen appliances and cupboards and it had a dry, completely paved basement. The actual unit was rented in such a filthy condition that I couldn?t believe New York law permited that disgrace, as bad as an unkempt gas station bathroom! Paint and carpet were new, everything else was disgusting. Maintenance staff couldn?t level a fridge that was off about five inches or fix a stove with only one burner functioning well, always too busy. The basement had a large dirt trough around it?s perimeter that water running down the walls puddled into. Once again, maintenance couldn?t fix that. Cupboard doors in one bathroom were missing, I was told where I could buy some if I wanted them. The on-site laundry facilities had no tables for folding and the machines were so crud-laden that my husband wouldn?t even use them, and had the floor ever been swept' The staff failed to address any of those issues but did deny the difference in condition between the model and actual unit!
