Loved it

My husband and I lived here for a little over a year and we loved it. The place is extremely clean, it's quiet, there was always a parking spot (regardless of how late we came home), the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The area has a lot of older people and middle-aged people living there (maybe that's why it was so quiet). The only time I ever heard my any of my neighbors was when one of my neighbors used to play his piano on Saturday afternoons. Whenever we had a problem and needed maintenance to come (only twice) they were there quickly. (Once for a phone jack, and once for an electrical outlet, they weren't working) The office staff was very helpful (they all lived in the apartments also). The large clubhouse area is great. We used it to have large family gatherings quite a few times. The pool is great, the fitness center is great. They are very flexible with the lease also. They let us move in 2 weeks early, and they let us move out 2 months after our lease was up with no problems (we hadn't closed on our house yet). They didn't make us pay extra (we paid the same thing we had been paying) and we didn't have to extend our lease at all. The place is very safe. I am a small woman (5'2", 130 lbs) and I was never afraid there. Not when I was alone, or when I had to go out or come home late. (Actually, I was afraid once. I came outside and there was a large deer out there. That was scary. Other than that, no problems) Our apartment was great. It was a 1 BR, 1 Bath but it was big. The BR was big enough for us to have our king sized bedroom set without being cramped at all (king bed w/ over-sized posts, dresser, chest, night table) and 2 huge closets. Decent sized bathroom. Big living room, a family room/office, decent sized kitchen, balcony (we kept our grill and a small bistro set out there), dishwasher, garbage disposal. The washing machine and dryer were in the building. The building was only 2 floors, which we liked. There is a storage area that you share with the apartments on your floor (4 apartments per floor) that really came in handy. There were 2 other huge closets (one by the bathroom, and one in the family room/office) and 1 smaller closet (by the front door). The only reason we moved out was because I was pregnant and we felt we would be better off in a house. There also isn't anything for small children to do in the area. It's not really along the bus route, so if you want to live here you should have a car (there is a bus stop at the supermarket which is about a 3 minute drive, or a 15 minute walk along a busy road). I would recommend Bethlehem Terrace Apartments to anyone who doesn't have small children (it is a very quiet place, and there isn't anything for them to do). My husband and I have said many times that if we had to move back to an apartment for some reason, we would go right back to Bethlehem Terrace. I think the fact that we would move back there with no hesitation or reservations says it all.
