I've lived here for a few years & I don't think it's too bad of a place to live. On the negative side, the outside of the buildings aren't that well lit, and, as someone else here noted, they keep promising security cameras but still haven't come through. Management usually follows through with work orders but I sometimes have to follow up with phone calls to remind them. Cell phone service here is non-existent. The size of the one bedrooms seem ideal for a single person but I think it might be a little cramped for a couple since the closet space isn't too great, and the bathroom is tiny. The swimming pool is very small. And even though there are plenty of machines in the laundry room, at least 3 or more always seem to be out of order. Laundry is in a separate building that you need to drive to, which is another complaint of mine. On the positive side, it is very affordable & pet friendly compared to other complexes in the Guilderland area. It is very convenient to Crossgates & Western Ave businesses while still remaining private & rural. There is easy access to the Northway & the Thruway. And the heating system works great - these apartments are very well heated & the heat is free. I can't complain about the noise level because most of my neighbors are pretty quiet and respectful. Some of the units are run down but many of them are being renovated. I would recommend this to anyone with pets who is looking for something basic and affordable.
