I lived at Deer Valley for a LONG 9 months. I ended up breaking my lease because the living conditions were filthy. At first glance, this is a clean, quiet apartment complex with up to date appliances. Shortly after moving in, we discovered black mold covering the ceilings in our kitchen and bathroom. The useless leasing agent told us to scrub it with bleach and water. A few weeks later, it got worse when we noticed that we had mice. Not just 1 or 2 mice. In the course of 2 weeks we caught 11. They called an exterminator for us. He came over and set traps. Nothing that I couldn't have done myself. A few weeks later, the unthinkable... we spotted what looked like a roach. I have never moved out of a place faster in my life. The leasing agent was smart enough to let us out of our lease. This was all she was good for. If you have any sense, you will NOT move into this complex. My problems were NOT exclusive to my apartment. The exterminator told us that there is a huge crawl space below the building that mice and insects run freely through. They are able to access any apartment in the building through the same holes that your pipes come in and out. I hope that I could be of help.
