The office staff made every step easy as could be. I repeatedly asked the same questions and always recieved a calm and patient answer. The young man at the office was new, but the woman next to him (April') had any answers he was unable to provide. They make you feel like you are family sitting in there with them. First apartment location my daughter actually liked. The maintenace men all were friendly and said hello when entering or leaving office... Manager is slightly abrupt with people and not interested in the fact that her staff is with someone, but again the other 2 make up for it. Every resident who walked in while I was in the office seemed happy to see the staff.... most people were actually just stopping in to say hello. NO PLACE ELSE I HAD BEEN TO HAD THAT RELATIONSHIP! Never had I seen it before and before seeing an apartment I knew I wanted to live here!

As one turns older, one turns into a skeptic! And for a good reason!! An old man once said - "Fools go where angles fear to tread" Now does this review sound like its too good. And if its too good to be true, then one can almost be certain that it isn't. But then there always the young and naieve. Which we why we keep having bubbles bursting all the time. Or else how could we have the tulip mania in 1600's that caused a huge market crash, ............and the dotcom bubble and the real estate mania? And we havent certainly seen the last of it. And why anonymous? Do you have soemthing to hide?

Dear akumar2, You're right! When I posted a negative review of Avalon Commons a VERY postive one immediately followed. There are so many nice places to live in the Smithtown and Hauppauge areas that one really should wind up at Avalon only if they're desperate. The staff was rude, they lied to me, overcharged me, and kept my security deposit even though I cancelled my contract within three days if signing. (My lawyer told me to run like hell when he heard what they were trying to do.)
