I found Avalon to be a great place to stay while on a temporary contract on Long Island. The grounds were safe, I did not feel worried about my safety at any time. The unit was spotless when I moved in.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I received a notice that my lease was coming up several months before the end date giving me enough time to prepare the documentation required to end the lease. I even needed to extend an extra month and the staff was helpful. Notices are sent whenever work is to be performed on the grounds or in the apartment. Maintenance is punctual, arriving at the set appointment time.

I lived on the second floor, so noise was never an issue, except when the neighbors below would slam their doors or when the bathroom fans were turned on. I have never heard any other conversations or loud music through the walls.

My only gripes are the high price of the units, but this may help to keep certain elements out, and the dryer units. The dryer unit took a couple of hours to dry clothes.
