Terrible Maintenance, Plowing, and Neighborhood

The maintenance guy here is a creepy weirdo on his best day. During the winter of 2008-2009 we received 150" of snow and the parking lot was plowed a total of 4 times all winter. Which is even worse due to the fact that the parking lot is on a cliff that is impossible to get out of without four wheel drive (and even still sometimes impossible). They never shovel the sidewalks, only when the code enforcement makes them. If you call to complain about the sidewalks he will only say that the snowblower is broken (I guess his shovel doesn't work either). The walls are very thin, you can hear everything in all apartments around you. If you call the maintenance man he will only try to make you feel stupid for calling. My car was vandalized, probably due to the group of slums just a block down the hill where many unemployed people live who beg for money of the corner of Erie Blvd. and Smith St. every single day. The doors and windows are poorly sealed. When the wind blows is blows in comes right through the cracks around the window and blows the window blinds, I had to put duct tape around most windwows and sliding door to keep the wind out. Our bathroom leaks water into the celing light in the dinning room and the maintenance guy seems to have no plans to fix it.

Once again, another resident here is very accurate in describing this place. The main. person is very creepy.
Best advice is to move...I will be very soon.

Make sure you keep the ol' 12 gauge within an arms reach at all times when you're living here.

If people break their lease, they won't be chasen down but it might (maybe) hurt your credit rating. Code enforcement has been here, they have fined the owner on his taxes, but the tenants are suffering with the operation of all this owners properties. It is getting worse.

These comments are so true. I lived there 12 years ago but the neighbors were great and we had different owners. The thing that I remember is when a neighbor had the water leak go into their light. They came home one day and the ceiling collapsed toilet and all! We had alot of car breakins looking for stereos etc... Doubt if it's the homeless people from Erie it was young kids they came around 5am. A neighbor saw one morning a kid walking up to cars and looking inside they got me three times. But besides the high rent outrageous natinsl grid bills I really did have some great times it's all about neighbors and management !
