New management is changing things

Things are changing this year as the new management comes in. It's unclear whether the changes will be mostly positive, negative, or what. One change that affects a lot of tenants is that they abolished trash pickup at the apartment doorfronts, and instead put up rows of dumpsters. This is an issue because you either have to drive or walk your trash to the dumpster, then lift the lid (which is hard for short, elderly, or disabled people), and put the trash in. There's not nearly enough dumpster space set aside for recycling. Another weird change: they replaced our front doorstep and repaved the parking lot by our unit, but these WERE NOT issues of great importance to us. Rather, we would have preferred they replace the locks on our doors (the front one is pretty minimal and the back one is just confusing to operate), paved different parts of the roads that need it more, or - now here's an idea - asked the tenants to give input about changes we'd like to see. But with more than 100 units on site, I can see how this is not their favorite way to do things.

You miss the point. The only things being taken care of now are public cosmetic ones designed to impress prospective renters. That is ALL management cares about. As for the elderly tenants they are referred to in the office as pains in the a%s because they complain when shoveling isn't done. I've heard it with my own 2 ears.
