This apartment building is certainly not the most ideal, but if you are in the area to go to the medical school or work at the hospital it's a perfect, convenient location. You can walk to the hospital in minutes, which is a huge help in the middle of rough winters when you don't want to think about driving. The area isn't great and I wouldn't wander around at night on my own, but I found the apartment building safe. Across the street is also Jefferson Towers, which is a little more pricey but definitely more aesthetically pleasing. Overall, if you are going to be studying/working at the hospital or SUNY for a few years it's a perfect location and you'll be surrounded by other students and residents at Madison Towers and Jefferson Towers.
